Sample Approval – For Trained XPS Users Only

Due to the potential for contamination of the UHV chamber, all samples will need to be approved before you make a reservation. When planning reservations for XPS please follow the steps below;

  1. Please fill out and submit the sample approval form below, DO NOT make a reservation until your samples have been approved. You will need to give details of all materials in your samples. (Example sample key description follows form)
  2. Make a reservation on the NanoCenter scheduler, the reservation will need to be approved in the scheduler and is not final until this happens.

Please submit this form before making a reservation so we have time to make sure your samples are safe from contaminating the vacuum chamber and for you to perform any necessary pretreatments such as vacuum heating. Any reservation will not be approved until your samples are deemed suitable for the UHV chamber
